Seed blessing ceremony at Beltane @Ruigoord

In Celtic celebration, Beltane announces Summer. Beltane also means "Bel-fire," derived from the God Bel, the Celtic sun god, God of light, fire and healing. Beltane is the fertility festival of the year.

I am happy to invite you to the Seed Blessing ceremony I will be leading during the Beltane celebration @ Ruigoord.

Our ancestors in the North offered to the Gods - Freya en Frey - asking them for fertile grounds for growth.

A tradition asking the soil to receive the seeds and take them in, allowing life to grow in healthy, strong, and abundant juiciness into a rich harvest. To ask the seeds to feel empowered to break open and become what they hold in potency.

Not only will the seeds outside us be celebrated, for we are the Earth, too.

We call for inner and outer joyful fertility and new life. To blossom in our inner growth, and find nourishment for life here on Earth to evolve.

During this ritual, we shall bless, sing, call, shake, dance, and drum awake the juiciness of life- in us all and our nature - to flow in playful joy.

Bring your own seeds - or help us bless the bee and insect-friendly seeds we offer you.

I will guide us to activate our voices and own fertile ground to sing our intentions for the seeds playfully. We will then plant the sung seeds around the church at Ruigoord.

Or keep for your own garden and neigbourhood.
